Yolanda Mangrum, DDS (General, Cosmetic, Implant, Sedation)

2011 Califonia Dentist of the Year awarded by Academy of General Dentistry

Dr. Mangrum began her dental career in 1989 when she received on-the-job training as a dental assistant and later became a licensed Registered Dental Assistant. While working as a dental assistant, she completed her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology at UC Riverside and completed the Dental Laboratory Technician certificate at Riverside City College.

Dr. Mangrum entered UC San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1993; her previous dental experience afforded her the time to be active in student government. She served in numerous positions and committees including Class and Associated Student UCSF president.

Thomas Dembski, DDS (General, Sedation, Invisible Orthodontics)

As one of the senior dentists at PDG I am proud of the full range of dental care that we offer to our community. With 30 years of clinical experience, I am equally comfortable caring for children, adults and seniors. One of the most exciting developments here in the last 4 years completely comfortable dental care for anxious patients using oral conscious sedation. The main reason people in the U.S. do not seek dental treatment is fear.

By taking a pill the fearful patient can enter a controlled environment in a relaxed but conscious state and get much needed dental care in one visit. With my California certificate in conscious sedation we have been able to help many people who sadly have put off needed treatment but now have new confidence I themselves with their healthy teeth. Rick Korman, DDS (General, Cosmetic, Restorative, and Family)

Dr. Korman is a veteran dentist practicing over 30 years at Petaluma Dental Group. As an integral part of Petaluma Dental Group he strives to achieve the best care possible for each and every one of his patients. Whether the treatment calls for overdentures, root canals or creating a healthier mouth, Dr. Korman finds the relationships with his patients to be the most rewarding part of his career. Restoring the smiles of the families that compromise the majority of his patients with grandparents, new parents, aunts, uncles and cousins is what he finds is the best part of his work. Many of his individual patients live elsewhere but come here because they work nearby or they have friends here.

Heather Anderson, DDS (General, Cosmetic, Family, Invisalign)

Although one of the newest associates to join Petaluma Dental Group, Dr. Heather Anderson is perhaps one of the oldest of PDG’s Sonoma County fixtures, since she grew up in nearby Occidental.

A dental career was infused early on into Dr. Anderson as she would spend hours during her childhood sitting alongside her father in his dental laboratory, shaping figurines and pendants out of dental wax. “These experiences helped shape my decision to pursue a career in dentistry,” notes Dr. Anderson.
